(Quatrains)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>And a retreating Whisper, as I wake &#8211; \/ &#8222;The Flower that once has blown for ever dies.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>And once again there gather&#8217;d a scarce heard \/ Whisper among them; as it were, the stirr&#8217;d \/ Ashes of some all but extinguisht Tongue, \/ Which mine ear kindled into Living Word.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ex: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kellscraft.com\/rubaiyatedition2.html\">The Rub\u00e1iy\u00e1t<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cummingsstudyguides.net\/Guides3\/rubaiyat.html\">Omar Khayy\u00e1m<\/a> of Naish\u00e1p\u00far<br \/>\n2nd edition 1868, stanza XXVIII, verses 3-4, and XC, verses 1-4<\/p>\n<p>Originally a spammer used these verses for a comment on one of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.quisquilia.net\/nova_blog\/wordpress\/ephemera-1178.html\">earlier entries<\/a>; I decided to not give him the credit yet reproduce these awe-inspiring, splendid poetic lines.
